Film Synopsis
In this passionate, hopeful film, Indigenous Elders and spiritual leaders address the challenges facing the planet today. Supported by stunning visuals, they delve into wisdom and knowledge that we all can apply toward the healing of Mother Earth and her inhabitants.
"The Power of Ceremony" features eight wisdom keepers sharing their unique perspectives on how ceremony fosters crucial action for a more sustainable and harmonious future. It reminds us that if we go back in time far enough, we all come from a culture of ceremony.

Maria Alice Campos Freire - Amazonian Plant Medicine Healer
Erick Gonzalez - Mayan Spiritual Leader
Calvin Hecocta - Numah (Klamath, Oregon) Wisdom Keeper
Rod McAfee - Akimel O’odham (Pima) Elder
Ilarion Merculieff - Unangan (Aleut) Elder, Teacher, Author
Linda Neale - Author, Co-Founder of Earth & Spirit Council
Agnes Pilgrim - Siletz Elder and Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers
Sobonfu Somé - Dagara (West African) Medicine Teacher
Sharing their diverse teachings and experience with ceremony and Earth connection, the film’s featured elders bring hope and inspire us to seek healing and balance in a difficult world.
Narrated by Lyla June, Indigenous musician, scholar, community organizer of Diné (Navajo), Tsétsêhéstâhese (Cheyenne) and European lineages.
