Solstice World Peace & Prayer Day WOP circle

Solstice

The longest day of the year in the Northern hemisphere,

the shortest day in the Southern

Solstice is a point of imbalance
in the yearly dance of earth and sun, mirroring the dance
of our lives.

We tend to seek balance and hold on to it… But what can imbalance teach us?

Several decades ago, June 21 was also recognized by Chief Arvol LookingHorse as
World Peace and Prayer Day.

(He said: “We've warned that one day humans would not be able to control what they've created.

That day is here.

We need to heal together, survive together come together.

All nations. All faiths. One prayer.“)

What is the relationship between peace and balance?
Why are we praying for peace at the height of imbalance?
